Isabelle Tomatis, the VP of hardware section at Sony assured supply issues is over

A recent blog post by Isabelle Tomatis, the hardware Vice President of Sony, announced an increase in the supply of PlayStation 5 consoles, which were in short supply for over two years. Tomatis stated that it should now be easier to find the PS5 at retailers around the world.

Sony has stated twice this month that they believe the shortage of PS5 consoles has ended, with the first being announced at the Consumer Electronics Show press conference.

Tomatis thanked PS5 buyers for their patience during the shortage and informed that consumers in several countries such as the US, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg can purchase a PS5 bundle or standalone console via Sony's direct.playstation.com store.

As confirmed, multiple PS5 models are currently available on the US store, with only the digital-only version being out of stock.

Last but not least, Sony's announcement about meeting the demand for the PS5 comes amidst two major launches for accessories: the recently released DualSense Edge controller and the upcoming PlayStation VR2 set for a February release.
