A famous leaker has revealed the features covered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200. When we take a look at the details, we see that the chipset includes four Cortex-A78 and four Cortex-A55 cores in the same number. A78 will consist of two clusters. The first cluster will operate at 3.1GHz, while the other cluster will operate at 3.0GHz.
A55 efficiency cores will continue to operate at 2.0GHz. To recall, the A78 cores in the Dimensity 8100 was functioning at 2.85GHz. The A78 cores in the Dimensity 8200 will operate in the 3.1GHz-3.0GHz range, offering higher performance than the 8100.
Dimensity 8200 is expected to replace the Dimensity 8100. The new chipset will power the smartphones that are priced around $180. Moreover, the first smartphone to be powered by Dimensity 8200 chipset is expected to be iQOO's Neo 7 SE model.
