Google was curious to buy Nuvia before the acquisition of Qualcomm, as new report unveils.

Google reportedly wanted to buy Nuvia before the Qualcomm
Google is reportedly eyeing up Nuvia before the Qualcomm.

Last year, Qualcomm bought Nuvia, headed by ex-Google and Apple representatives. Qualcomm wanted Nuvia's custom Arm silicon so it could compete more effectively with Apple.

Following this, Qualcomm acquired critical computer chip ability and the primary items in light of these advances that are expected to launch in 2023. The Qualcomm have made a great profit as to chip innovations even if they paid $1.4 billion to buy Nuvia.

A new report coming from The Information unveiled that Google and other tech organizations were additionally keen on purchasing the Nuvia.

This is particularly intriguing because it is highly likely that Google was pursuing Nuvia for its own Tensor chips. Google has some control over the SoCs in its Pixel smartphones thanks to its Tensor project.

However, if Google had bought Nuvia, Tensor would not have to rely on generic/standard Arm Cortex cores like it does now. In addition to the TPU, it could have elevated Google's chip advance to another level.

To recall, Qualcomm's acquisition of Nuvia has not been without its challenges. Arm has sued Qualcomm for breaking its licensing agreement, asserting that Qualcomm is trying to utilize Nuvia's current Arm permit without the legitimate right. Qualcomm has argued that it has its own Arm licenses that permit the use of its custom processors, despite Arm's claim that its licenses cannot be acquired.
