Google Pixel Tablet Pro version cancelled, images of vanilla model revealed
We might see only one version from Google's Pixel Tablet line.
At the I/O 2022 event in May 2022, Google unveiled its first tablet, the Pixel Tablet. Initially, it was reported that the tablet would come in both standard and Pro versions.
However, Kuba Wojciechowski, an Android researcher and leakster, recently shared that there will only be one version of the tablet available, indicating that the Pro version has been canceled. Additionally, Wojciechowski provided some other information about the tablet.
According to reports, the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Tablet Pro carry the codenames "Tangor" and "Tangorpro." Wojciechowski has shared new information demonstrating that these two versions are powered by the Tensor G2 chip and the Tensor chip of the first generation.
He added that the Tangor project has been canceled by the company. In other words, only Pixel Tablet variants with the Tensor G2 chip will be available for purchase. The tipster also said, citing an unidentified source, that the Pixel Tablet will have 256GB of Kioxia UFS storage and 8GB of Samsung LPDDR5 RAM. It will come with a fingerprint scanner mounted on the side.
As it turns out, Google initially created "tangor" (T6) with a first-generation Tensor chip (as I also leaked before https://t.co/lQJDAz61Re) but then cancelled the project in favour of a Tensor G2-powered "tangorpro" (T6P).

The tipster shared some of the newly leaked images of the Pixel Tablet's pre-production unit. He made it clear that the screen can display images with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. China Star Optoelectronics (CSOT) supplies the display, which is powered by a Richtek RT4539 six-channel LED driver, which is typically utilized for backlighting LCD panels.
As a result, the Pixel Tablet does not feature an AMOLED screen. A previous report stated that the tablet has a screen size of 11-inches.
