Binance CEO CZ has unveiled the platform that Google uses for cryptocurrency price data.
The Binance CEO CZ has revealed the platform that Google uses for the cryptocurrency price data when users type a cryptocurrency on search box. As Binance CEO CZ tweeted on his social media account, he stated that Google uses CoinMarketCap for crypto data, which Binance bought in 2020.
Google uses CoinMarketCap for the crypto data
When a cryptocurrency is searched in Google, the search engine automatically shows the latest price chart for the intended currency that is connected to Google Finance section. In addition, the price data here is updated instantly.
However, it was not known before where Google obtained information for cryptocurrency prices. Binance CEO CZ has now revealed the platform that Google uses for the crypto data.

Binance acquired CoinMarketCap in 2020
Binance has bought CoinMarketCap platform for $400M in 2020. The platform, abbreviated as CMC, was established in May 2013. The platform provides users with different crypto data such as price tracking, crypto asset market cap and crypto exchange volume.
