AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX failed to compete against NVIDIA's flagship
The new AMD RX 7900 XTX is reported to lag behind NVIDIA's latest flagship RTX 4090 in terms of gaming performance.
AMD introduced the RX 7900 XTX flagship graphics card a few days ago. Featuring extreme improvement along with RDNA 3 architecture, RX 7900 XTX was aimed to surpass NVIDIA RTX 4090 and other flagship graphic cards. However, it was alleged AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX did not meet the expectations in terms of performance.

AMD said that this graphics card is up to “1.7” times faster than its competitors or the previous generation graphic cards. However, when compared to the RX 6950 XT, the average difference is reported to be 1.5 times. Later, a striking allegations made by a famous channel called Hardware Unboxed and TechSpot.
It seems that the RX 7900 XTX managed to beat the RTX 4090 in just 3 of 14 games. In Dying Light 2, the AMD card is only a few percent faster. In Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Far Cry 6, the difference increased to 10% in favor of RTX 4090.
As to all other games, the AMD card seems to lag behind the RTX 4090 by %5 to %30. On the final average, the AMD RX 7900 XTX appears to be %10 behind the NVIDIA RTX 4090.
Still, RX 7900 XTX has not yet been released. It is highly possible that the final results may change again with optimized drivers. Graphics card will be released on December 13 with a price tag of $999.
