Intuitive Machines' upcoming IM-2 mission, which is currently scheduled to launch in November aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, is expected to see the deployment of the system. According to CNBC, Nokia's 4G communications system will be transported to its final destination on the Shackleton crater in the southern region of the Moon by the Nova-C lunar lander of Intuitive Machines. Nokia was actually selected by NASA in 2020 to develop this project. The firm's Bell Labs was given $14.1 million to fund the project.
