Xiaomi raises the tablet game with Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro
Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, featuring updated specifications and features in their latest tablet offerings.
During its latest launch event, Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi 13 Ultra as the flagship product, but also unveiled the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro tablets. These new tablets boast significant updates compared to their predecessors, including upgraded chipsets, improved displays, and a fresh design that draws inspiration from the Xiaomi 13 series smartphones.
Xiaomi Pad 6 and Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro specifications
The Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro come with 11-inch LCD displays boasting a high resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. These displays also feature an impressive 144Hz refresh rate, as well as support for P3 color gamut, 10-bit color depth, HDR10, and Dolby Vision.
As to chipsets, the Pad 6 Pro is powered by a flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. In terms of optics, it boasts a 50MP main camera paired with a 2MP depth-of-field sensor in a dual camera setup. For selfies and video calls, there is a 20MP front camera. The Pad 6 Pro also packs a large 8600mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging, allowing the device to be charged from 0 to 100% in just 62 minutes. Additional features of the flagship tablet include fingerprint and face unlock, as well as Wi-Fi 6 enhanced version.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi Pad 6 is powered by a Snapdragon 870 processor. It features a 13MP single camera at the rear and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies. The Pad 6 is equipped with a large 8840mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging, allowing the device to be fully charged in 99 minutes. Similar to the Pad 6 Pro, the Pad 6 also offers features such as face unlock and Wi-Fi 6 support.
Xiaomi Pad 6 and Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro price and availability
The Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro is priced at 2499 yuan ($363) for the 8GB+128GB variant, 2799 yuan ($407) for the 8GB+256GB variant, 3099 yuan ($450) for the 12GB+256GB variant, and 3399 yuan ($494) for the 12GB+512GB variant.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi Pad 6 is priced at 1999 yuan ($290) for the 6GB+128GB variant, 2099 yuan ($305) for the 8GB+128GB variant, and 2299 yuan ($334) for the 8GB+256GB variant. The tablets are currently available for pre-sale in China and are expected to go on sale starting from April 21st.
