Huawei, the renowned technology giant, disclosed the launch of its latest tablet, the Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2023), in May, with the Snapdragon 888 chip on board. An unveiling of a subsequent tablet, titled the Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2023), is due on July 20. However, this isn't a complete surprise as its specifications and features were revealed when it first debuted in Malaysia earlier this month.
The Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2023) boasts an 11.5-inch LCD screen with a 2200 x 1440-pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 3:2 aspect ratio. In addition, the display has earned the TÜV Rheinland hardware-level low blue light certification, offering users' eyes protection during extended periods of use.

The tablet’s engine room houses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile processing platform, ensuring smooth performance and efficient multitasking capabilities. The version released in Malaysia offers two configurations - one with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage and another with 8 GB of RAM and the same storage capacity.
For capturing images and video calls, the MatePad 11.5 (2023) comes fitted with an 8-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel rear camera. Providing power is a 7,700mAh battery with up to 22.5W fast charging support. The device runs on the HarmonyOS 3.1 operating system, supports the M-Pencil (2nd generation) for enhanced productivity, and includes additional features such as dual microphones and four speakers, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2. Remarkably, the tablet is only 6.85mm thick and weighs around 499 grams.
In Malaysia, the starting price of the Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2023) is MYR 1,499 (roughly $330). The pricing for the Chinese variant, set to be revealed at 7 pm (local time) on July 20, remains unknown. The tablet will be available in an array of colors: grey, beige, and blue.
