Last year, the gaming world witnessed Lenovo's introduction of the Legion Y700 gaming tablet in China. This high-end tablet, even though not launched globally, created waves in its home market with a generously large display and an impressive Snapdragon 870 processor. Now, Lenovo is in the process of launching a 2023 refresh of the popular Legion Y700 tablet, with the launch set for July 2023.

A recent teaser posted on Weibo confirms Lenovo's plans for the release of the 2023 Legion Y700. While the details divulged in the teaser are minimal, it does provide a glimpse of the tablet’s front panel. The new model's design seems to maintain a close resemblance to its predecessor, featuring thick bezels surrounding the screen.

Lenovo has indicated that the new tablet will stick to the 8-inch display size that the 2022 model had. As for other hardware details, they remain largely speculative at this stage. Being an update, the 2023 model can be expected to sport a new and more powerful processor, potentially a higher refresh rate screen, and other enhancements.

The original Legion Y700 tablet stands out for its 8.8-inch LCD display with support for a 100 DCI P3 color gamut, providing rich and accurate colors. Its resolution stands at 2560 x 1600 pixels, and it supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, it runs on the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and a maximum of 256GB of internal storage. The device is powered by a substantial 6,550mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging and operates on ZUI 13.
