Lenovo, very hopeful about their new tablet
Being one of the most important names in the world of computers, Lenovo will soon come up with a new tablet model.
Last year, Lenovo launched the Legion Y700 gaming tablet in China, and it's already teasing its successor through the brand's official Weibo account. The new tablet, carrying the same name - Lenovo Legion Y700, will feature key upgrades including enhancements to its System on Chip (SoC), RAM, and software.
The 2023 model of the Lenovo Legion Y700 is set to be equipped with the Snapdragon + Gen 1 SoC, a significant upgrade from the Snapdragon 870 found in the previous year’s model. This advanced chip is expected to substantially improve the tablet’s performance.
Lenovo, very hopeful about their new tablet
Users can expect a roughly 31% increase in single-core performance, a 23% rise in multicore performance, and nearly double the GPU performance. Moreover, the 4nm manufacturing process, smaller than before, should boost the chip's energy efficiency.
According to Lenovo, the new tablet has achieved an impressive Antutu score of 1,393,05 points, which stands out even for a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. The Legion Y700 (2023) could potentially feature up to 12GB or even 16GB of RAM, which will surely be beneficial for gaming and multitasking. Furthermore, the tablet will come with ZUI 15, which is based on Android 13. Beyond confirming that the new model will also have an 8-inch display, Lenovo is keeping other details under wraps until the official launch event scheduled for July 22.
