Foldable iPad to debut in 2024, predicts most famous Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated in a recent report that Apple will reduce the number of iPad releases for the remainder of 2023, with the intention of launching a foldable iPad in 2024.
Kuo has indicated that the next big release for the iPad lineup is going to be a foldable device with a completely revamped design, and there won't be any other major iPad releases in the next 9 to 12 months. The analyst expressed confidence that the foldable iPad will become available in 2024 but did not specify a more specific time frame.
Apple's foldable iPad might feature a carbon fiber kickstand
According to Kuo's recent tweet, the iPad's kickstand will be made of lightweight and sturdy carbon fiber material. The foldable iPad is expected to bring benefits to a Chinese polishing and bonding company, Anjie Technology.
Ming-Chi Kuo is being careful about his predictions for iPad shipments in 2023, predicting a decrease of 10-15% compared to the previous year. But he believes the release of a foldable iPad model in 2024 will increase shipments and improve the product lineup.
Apple might utilize from foldable iPad to be ready for foldable iPhone
This is not the first time we have heard rumors of Apple planning to launch a foldable iPad. An October 2022 report from analysts at CCS Insight claimed Apple plans to use a foldable iPad in 2024 as a practice run for foldable technology before adopting it on the iPhone.
Although it is unclear whether the material would be used in an iPhone or iPad, it is said that Apple is collaborating with LG to create an ultra-thin cover glass that could be used on the foldable products of the company.
