WhatsApp announces Voice Status Announcements on iOS Beta

WhatsApp is constantly developing new features that are included in its beta builds for iOS and Android. The company had some hard time last year due to privacy problems but now it looks like the platform is back on track again. It now appears that the company is developing an intriguing new Status section feature for its iOS Beta build. A WABetaInfo received the information after spotting the feature in the iOS beta update.

WhatsApp announces Voice Status Announcements on iOS Beta

The popular messaging platform is working on allowing voice status updates of up to 30 seconds in length on its application, as shown in this image. Similar to an individual or group chat, the microphone icon indicator in the bottom right corner will allow other users to view these voice statuses. We can anticipate a similar format for the WhatsApp Voice Status update as the status updates typically last for 24 hours on the user's "status." The Android beta app version 2.22.21.5 contained the first evidence of this feature. The social media powerhouse is also working on a number of features that are currently in the works.Unfortunately, we do not yet know when the live build will include this feature.Therefore, remain tuned for additional information regarding this matter.
