Vivo has introduced the Funtouch OS 14 custom operating system in India, which is built on the foundation of the Android 14 OS. This update aims to enhance the overall functionality and user experience of your smartphone.

The Smooth Envision approach of Funtouch OS 14 will be available in several vivo and iQOO smartphones in India. It optimizes the use of RAM and reduces unnecessary processes, allowing for greater multitasking capabilities. For smartphones with 8GB+ of RAM, the Funtouch OS 14 can potentially free up to 600MB of memory. Additionally, the new App Retainer feature provides quick access to whitelisted apps.

Funtouch OS 14 also enhances visual smoothness with features like Motion Blur, even on smartphones with a 60Hz refresh rate. The revamped small window feature allows for improved multitasking, accommodating up to 12 active windows in the background.

Furthermore, Funtouch OS 14 supports side-swipe suspension, enabling users to focus on one app while keeping tabs on others. Personalization options include customizing the lock screen clock style, layout, and font style. There are also various always-on-display styles and a minimalist theme available in the new software.

Other notable features include video editing improvements, an enhanced privacy and security architecture, and more.

The rollout of Funtouch OS 14 has commenced with a sample of vivo X90 Pro devices and will extend to several other devices, including the X90, vivo X80 Pro, X80, V29 series, V27 series, and iQOO devices, among others. The staggered rollout is expected to continue until April 2024.
