The 3nm process is the next advancement in process technology, and Apple is anticipated to release its iPhone 15 Pro products on such platforms. According to study by Counterpoint cited by Business Korea, mobile devices use the 4nm and 5nm processes the most (22%), followed by 6nm and 7nm chips at 16%. Samsung will lead the market with their 4nm chipsets, being the pioneer in the market. The competition between Apple and Samsung will even get more fierce. As both Samsung and TSMC are constructing plants in the United States that will be operational in 2024, it is anticipated that the output of 4nm chips will rise even further in the future.
