Microsoft has added six more nations to the Xbox Game Pass family package. Up to five friends and family members in the same country can now enjoy Game Pass Ultimate features with a single subscription if a person lives in Chile, Hungary, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa, or Sweden. The Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family package, which Microsoft first introduced in Colombia and Ireland last summer, has now been expanded.

The primary account holder will have the option of converting their current plan depending on the cost of the remaining time. For example, 18 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family access equals one complete month of an Ultimate subscription. However, individuals who accept an invitation to join a group are unable to convert their leftover Game Pass hours. The ability to join a friends and family club is not available to Xbox All Access subscribers.

The cost differs by nation. A fair generalization is that a regular Game Pass Ultimate subscription will cost about three-fifths as much as the family plan based on conversion rates. The family package is $25 per month, based on the US Game Pass Ultimate pricing.
