WhatsApp has launched a new feature for Android and iOS users. Polls can now be created in the group chats. The poll feature, tested in beta versions for a while, has been released to the stable version after it is proven that it is an efficient feature.

WhatsApp Polls will allow users to create polls in both individual and group chats. This feature will allow users to create a poll with up to 12 options. If the same answer option is rewritten, the platform will also send an alert users. However, Polls feature is not available for WhatsApp Web yet.

WhatsApp also announced: "Polls are here! Now making decisions in the group chat is even easier and even more fun." In order to get this feature, you should update your WhatsApp to latest version via Google Play Store or App Store.

How to use Polls feature?

  1. Open up the WhatsApp on your Android or iOS device.
  2. Follow an individual or group chat.
  3. Tap on the plus icon that is beside text bar and select "Poll" option at the list.
  4. Continue to create a poll.
  5. Type your question and set the options for the poll.
  6. After poll is completed, tap "View Votes" to see your poll results.
