Huawei announces when Kirin chip will come back
Chinese tech giant made an announcement on when we can expect the Kirin chips to come back. Here all we know on the subject.
Even though companies do not make official announcements reports that leak online give us idea about almost everything. In that sense we have some news. On the Chinese social network Weibo, there is a rumor that Kirin will return in 2023. Huawei's in-house Kirin SoC development and production were halted as a result of US sanctions, which prevented the company from using certain technologies and doing business with certain entities.
Huawei announces when Kirin chip will come back
Aside from a small number of phones equipped with Huawei's midrange Kirin 710A, the lineup is largely successful. There have been a number of reports suggesting that development has been restarted and that the lineup may be returning.Huawei, on the other hand, denied those rumors in an official response.
There's at present a major impediment before Huawei as the organization can't find any chip producer that doesn't utilize US-based innovation in its manufacturing plants. Additionally, it appears that the business has temporarily given up on trying to resolve the issue. Although the specifications of the Kirin chips that Huawei is currently developing are unknown, Richard Yu, Executive Director, CEO of the Consumer BG, and CEO of the Intelligent Automotive Solution BU, has repeatedly stated that Huawei will return "to the throne" in 2023, which also increases the likelihood that Kirin chips will return the following year.
