Google's ChatGPT Rival: Here is Bard

In the two months after its public beta release, ChatGPT, an automatic text generation system from OpenAI, has taken the globe by storm. However, its time in the spotlight is soon coming to an end. On Monday, Google revealed that its long-rumored chatbot AI project is actually real and moving forward. We anticipate learning a lot more about it on Wednesday during the "Google Presents" event from Paris. It is called Bard.

According to a blog post by Google CEO Sundar Pichai published on Monday, Bard will function as a "experimental conversational AI tool." It is based on the Language Model for Dialogue Applications (LaMDA) framework that Google has already created and been working on for the previous two years.

Pichai stated that "Bard aspires to integrate the depth of the knowledge of the world with the strength, intelligence, and creativity of our massive language models." It uses data from the internet to deliver original, excellent responses. We'll have to wait and watch if that reliance on the internet leads to biased or racist behavior, as it seems every chatbot before it did.
