Google to add support for an "old-school" file format in Android 14

To ensure that the Android operating system is compatible with more file types, Google has been supporting new and old formats. exFAT file format support for Pixel smartphones running Android 13 was previously included in June. However, exFAT will not be only support in the Android operating systems.
NTFS, another format that was pioneered by Microsoft is having an another story for the Android. However, NTFS read/write capabilities were incorporated into Linux kernel version 5.15. Moreover, "android13-5.15" version is reported to use this kernel.

As the leaker claims and we mentioned above, Google has recently developed and incorporated a utility that addresses common NTFS issues. This suggests that the company is actively working to implement NTFS support to its fullest extent and raises the possibility that devices running Android 14.
The fact that Android 13 has this kernel does not mean that it supports NTFS file format. Software analysts say that NTFS file format will most probably be included with "full-extent support" in upcoming Android 14.
