Google Pixel users will install OTA updates faster than ever

Google is reportedly in great works on making the time it takes to install an OTA (over-the-air) updates for the Pixel smartphones. New reports has confirmed that Google will bring this feature to the Pixel smartphones soon. 

Google to bring faster OTA updates for Pixel smartphones

As reported, Google has implemented new patches to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) to reduce the time it takes the Pixel users to install an OTA update. Therefore, the Pixel users will install OTA updates faster than ever.

According to Mishaal Rahman, the a new OTA update just took 10 minutes to install, which is %43 faster than previous patches. Another an incremental update took 16 minutes to install, which was 22 minutes on previous patch.

It is clean that the Google Pixel users will install their OTA or incremental updates faster as of new updates. Moreover, Pixel models install OTA updates in the background. During this silent installation, the active partition keeps running allowing you to continue using your Pixel as if there were no installations.

Google had first introduced this Seamless update for Android with Android 7.0 Nougat edition. Thanks to Google's efforts, the amount of additional storage needed for Seamless Updates has been reduced with Android 13.
