Gmail introduces email translation feature, here's your guide
Google's fresh Gmail translation functionality operates through automated language detection within emails. Should an email's language diverge from the user's preferred choice, a prominent banner will emerge atop the email, offering translation assistance. As an illustration, if the email is composed in Korean but the user prefers English, the banner will prompt "Translate to English," enabling the user to access the translated content with a simple tap.
Recipients hold the freedom to dismiss the banner if they choose or permanently opt out of translating emails from that specific language. Additionally, users possess the ability to tailor their translation settings to their preferences via the settings menu. Within this menu, they can designate which languages should be translated or remain untranslated.
Should the Gmail app fail to exhibit the dismissible banner, an alternative route involves manually triggering the translation process. By selecting the three-dot menu in the email's upper-right corner, users can opt for the "Translate" function. Impressively, Gmail's translation utility spans across a comprehensive array of 100 languages.
