Apparently, Elon Musk and Tim Cook have reconciled after arguing about the status of Twitter's iOS app. Musk stated that he and Cook had a "good conversation" during a meeting at Apple's headquarters. Earlier this week, Musk claimed that Apple had "threatened to withhold" Twitter from the App Store. Musk wrote, "Among other things, we resolved the misunderstanding regarding Twitter's potential removal from the App Store."

Tim made it abundantly clear that Apple had never considered doing so. Musk never mentioned the exact cause of Apple's problem with the Twitter app. However, the former head of trust and safety at Twitter claims that Apple has previously flagged a variety of issues during the app review process. Notably, none of Musk's most recent tweets indicate whether Cook addressed any of Musk's other complaints. Musk had joined the growing number of developers who had criticized the App Store's "secret tax" of 30% on in-app purchases in addition to the issue with the App Store. According to the newsletter Platformer, Musk reportedly postponed the relaunch of Twitter Blue subscriptions to avoid paying the fees.

Additionally, Musk had criticized Cook for halting a significant portion of Apple's Twitter advertising, claiming that the iPhone maker had "mostly stopped" its campaigns.Currently, the company is attempting to reassure brands in the face of a wider decline in platform advertising.
