After several weeks, ChatGPT has become available to Italian users once again after undergoing significant improvements in data privacy and transparency measures.
ChatGPT resumes service in Italy with enhanced data privacy measure
OpenAI has taken steps to address data privacy concerns surrounding ChatGPT by introducing a series of changes to the platform. These changes include increased transparency about how user data is processed, the provision of opt-out rights for users, and age verification measures aimed at protecting children under the age of 13.
Furthermore, the platform now carries a warning notice to users that ChatGPT may generate inaccurate information about "people, places, or facts." Garante, the Italian data protection agency, has welcomed these changes and acknowledged that ChatGPT now provides "enhanced transparency and rights for European users."
