Apple will start to show more ads on App Store starting next week. Prepare to see more advertisements the next time you want to download an app to your iPhone. According to some trustable sources such as MacRumors, Apple will begin adding two more ad categories to the App Store on October 25.

The company intends to begin selling ad space in the "Today" tab and at the bottom of individual app listings in all countries other than China. To differentiate them from other recommendations when they arrive, the ads will feature a blue icon. The company explains on a support page that "your app can appear prominently on the front page of the App Store with a Today tab ad, making it some of the first content users see when they begin their App Store visit."
In July, Apple made its announcement that ads would be added to the Today tab. The company's overall effort to expand its advertising business includes the expansion. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman recently reported that the business intends to nearly triple its advertising revenue to $10 billion annually over the next few years. The company is said to be planning to soon add search ads to Maps in addition to more ads for the App Store. Ads are not usually welcome by the users but many companies started to add ads on their plaforms and Apple is no exceptation.
