Apple is not only producing new devices, it is clamping its vision far beyond. The company may be working on a metaverse competitor, judging by the report. Facebook's parent company, Meta, is aggressively expanding its Metaverse, but recent reports showed that the company has actually lost money on the project. Seeing the gap in the market, Apple also rolled up its sleeves.

Many people are still waiting anticipated AR/VR headset, which will be the brand's newest line of consumer electronics. However iPhone maker has some other plans as well. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman says that the company doesn't plan to stop with just a new hardware release. According to the latest report, Apple is currently in the process of hiring talent for a whole "3D mixed reality world" and has already begun working on it. To put it another way, the company is launching its own version of the metaverse to compete with Meta in the mixed reality world market.
Rumors also claim that the company is developing its own take on the Metaverse, which will be based on both augmented reality and virtual reality. As a result, it would appear that the brand will launch its first AR/VR headset in the near future.
