Supply chain analysts have discovered that Corning is the manufacturer of Apple's front and back glass sheets, while Samsung and LG are the primary suppliers of OLED panels. Apple on the other hand in is reluctant to discuss its suppliers of batteries, chips, and displays. Of course, TSMC's fabs produce chips. However, the deal between Sony and Apple for camera hardware was largely unconfirmed, and it appears to be unlikely to end anytime soon. Some reports claim that Sony is developing a new semiconductor-based sensor that will let in more light and reduce the likelihood of under or overexposure. Obviously, that sensor will appear in iPhones of subsequent generations.
