In comments or a live chat, click the smiling face icon to use the emotes. YouTube's global emotes will appear below the channel's own custom emoji if you have a YouTube account. You can begin typing the name of a YouTube emote, similar to how Twitch emotes work. In chats, Twitch has long offered global emotes. YouTube's emotes may not have the same cultural cachet as PogChamp, Kappa, or ResidentSleeper for some time, but they are off to a good start.
