Twitter’s new Community Notes will set the rules from zero
Twitter has been going under so many changes and now they will introduce their new Community Notes. Here are all the details.
Twitter has been a platform supports freedom of speech, but meanwhile they also support correct news and disregard misleading information. In order to take control of it Twitter has announced the pilot launch of a new feature called "Notes on Media" as an ongoing effort to combat the dissemination of misleading media.
Twitter offers a new feature to fight with misleading information
The feature is currently available only for Tweets, but it will soon be available for photos and videos as well. False information spreads really quick in modern world with AI and everything, therefore the social media giant has found it necessary to fight with misleading information.
The new feature on Twitter aims to solve this problem by giving contributors the superpower to annotate media and warn readers about possible false information. The Notes on Media feature works by showing attached notes on matching images from the past and the future. This means that users who come across similar images will be able to see the note associated with an image that has been flagged as potentially misleading.
Twitter will actively solicit feedback from the community and keep a close eye on how users use the Notes on Media feature during the pilot phase.
