Twitter's "For You" feature did not get popularity as expected
Twitter recently has offered brand new feature called "For You", but the feature did not get much attention.
There is now a better way to avoid Twitter's curated For You tab, so if you did not like the TikTok like feature which was recently released you can change your settings. The feature did not get much attention as expected, so the social media giant has decided to change the settings.

Were any of you (all of you) asking for your timeline to default to where you left it last?

Starting today on web, if you close Twitter on the “For you” or “Following” tabs, you will return to whichever timeline you had open last. iOS and Android coming soon! https://t.co/uKz9DpNRux
Twitter is making changes to its mobile and web apps to default to the timeline tab you were using last. You won't see the chronological Following tab again if you close the app after looking at it in a rational manner. The tab is now the default on the web, and the Android and iOS apps are "coming soon."
For You is a feed that is generated by an algorithm and highlights specific tweets based on users and conversations that Twitter thinks are relevant to you. This can bring up posts that you might have missed, but it also tends to hide content from some users and makes it hard to keep up with live events.
