Twitter will forever ban users that imitate other accounts
Twitter has been going under some changes ever since Elon Musk took over the platform. One of the changes is that fake accounts will be banned.
Elon Musk took over Twitter and started to make changes right away. The first of these changes was charging Twitter Blue and huge layoffs. It looks like Musk has other plans as well. He stated that he opposed lifetime suspensions prior to acquiring Twitter and promised to reinstate banned users like Donald Trump. Now, Musk wrote that if fake accounts are not clearly identified, Twitter will permanently suspend them.

Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying “parody” will be permanently suspended

After incorporating Musk's name and image into her own verified Twitter account, the comedian Kathy Griffin has been banned from Twitter. Jeph Jacques and other verified Musk-impersonating accounts appear to have been removed from the website as well. Users "may not impersonate individuals, groups, or organizations to mislead, confuse, or deceive others, nor use a fake identity in a manner that disrupts the experience of users on Twitter," as stated in Twitter's rules prior to Musk's acquisition. If a user has a fake account profile moderation, a temporary suspension, or a permanent suspension will be the consequences. Over the past few days, there has been a lot of drama on Twitter. Trolls and racists flooded the site early on during Musk's tenure with insults and other forms of hate speech, probably to test the site's new capabilities.
