There is no longer a Twitter account that followed Elon Musk's private jet's flights. Jack Sweeney, the college student who ran @ElonJet, noted that the company has permanently suspended the account. Sweeney operated @ElonJet and accounts that track the flights of other public figures by making use of flight data that is accessible to the public. Sweeney stated over the weekend that screenshots provided by a Twitter employee suggested that the company restricted @ElonJet's reach. Sweeney stated on Monday that the account appeared to be free of restrictions, but Twitter has since removed the banhammer. Sweeney's personal Twitter account had also been suspended by Wednesday afternoon on Twitter. Twitter made an update to its private information policy later that same day, stating that sharing information about another person's "live location" is now forbidden.

Musk offered Sweeney $5,000 to delete the account in January, a few months before he announced a deal to acquire Twitter. Sweeney refused the overture and demanded $50,000 instead. @ElonJet had more than half a million followers, as noted by CNBC. The bot is also run by Sweeney on Instagram.
