Twitter to sue Threads! Things are getting fired up
Meta has started their Threads app recently but Twitter has a problem with it.
Twitter has been going down ever since Elon Musk bought the platform and things have not been going so smooth. Seeing the situation Meta has decided to started their own Twitter-like platform Threads to get better in the game, but seems like Twitter has a problem with it.
Some reports showed that Twitter has threatened legal action against Meta, accusing it of stealing trade secrets and intellectual property and poaching former employees.
Twitter might sue Threads app
"Twitter expects to rigorously implement its licensed innovation freedoms, and requests that Meta find prompt ways to quit utilizing any Twitter proprietary innovations or other profoundly private data," Alex Spiro, Elon Musk's own legal counselor, wrote in a letter to Meta. " Twitter reserves all rights, including the right to seek injunctive relief and civil remedies immediately to prevent Meta from retaining, disclosing, or using its intellectual property in any way.
Threads had great success within the 7 hours since they were online. This situation might have disturbed Twitter as well. Twitter claims what Meta did is against state and federal law as well as the obligations of those employees to their previous employer.
