Twitter to require telephone number confirmation from now on
Twitter has been going under some changes especally with blue check marks, and now phone confirmation is required.
Twitter has been going under major changes after Elon Musk took over the platform. Elon Musk deciced to make Blue verification a paid one which resulted in many problems. New Twitter Blue allowed any user to pay $8 per month for a verified checkmark next to any profile name upon its relaunch. This led to abuse in which accounts tweeted from fictitious public figures, celebrities, and businesses, prompting Twitter to temporarily disable Blue.

Twitter Blue relaunched over the weekend, offering users the ability to create tweets with up to 4,000 characters, prioritizing replies to tweets, and half as many ads. Twitter's terms were updated shortly after it went live to say that Twitter Blue requires a verified phone number. When you continue to sign up, you will be prompted to verify a phone number if you are not yet a Blue subscriber and have not yet verified it.
It may also be impossible to sign up for Twitter accounts that haven't been active in 30 days or have changed their profile picture, display name, or username in the last seven days. A verified phone number will also be required of subscribers.
