Twitter temporarily prohibited Facebook, Instagram, and other competitors-related links
Twitter has been going under so many changes and these changes sometimes are not good ones. Here are the details.
The company recently implemented a new policy that prohibits "free promotion" of rival social media websites. Twitter stated that accounts whose "main purpose" is to promote content on Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Tribel, Post, and Donald Trump's Truth Social would have their links removed. Users were informed that they could no longer post tweets in which they invited their followers to follow them elsewhere or use their Twitter bio to link to other social media profiles.

Should we have a policy preventing the creation of or use of existing accounts for the main purpose of advertising other social media platforms?

However, Twitter's CEO had another change of heart as the community adjusted to the new rule. The tweets announcing the new policy and the support page outlining the specifics of its enforcement were taken down within hours and replaced with a poll asking: Should a policy be implemented that prohibits the primary use of existing accounts for advertising on other social media platforms? At the time of writing, 86.9% of votes were cast in favor of the "No" option.
