Twitter launced Blue on iOS today for $11 per month
Twitter has recently announced that the Blue price would be $11 per month on iOS, and now the feature is here.
Twitter's revamped Blue subscription began rolling out on December 12. Blue verification was initially offered by Twitter for $8 per month for iOS devices at the beginning of November; however, the company halted the rollout after the platform was inundated with verified trolls. The company also confirmed on Saturday that when users subscribe directly through its iOS platform, the service will cost $11 per month. The subscription will cost $8 per month on the internet, where Apple does not charge a 30% commission on in-app purchases.

In addition, the business claims to have implemented new measures to avoid a similar incident in the past month. After signing up for the service, users will first need to register with a phone number in order to get the blue checkmark on their profile. After obtaining verified status, Twitter subscribers can change their handle, display name, and profile picture; however, the company will temporarily remove their blue checkmark while it reviews their account again. In a separate thread, Twitter product manager Esther Crawford stated, "We've added a review step before applying a blue checkmark to an account as one of our new steps to combat impersonation."
