Twitter is now promoting cannabis-related businesses
Twitter will now permit advertisers to promote brand preference and educational cannabis-related material for CBD, THC, and cannabis-related products and services, according to the microblogging website's most recent blog post. In other words, businesses who market cannabis-related goods and other connected goods are free to do so on the platform of the dominant social media company. There are still certain limitations on what you can and cannot advertise, though.
The commercials are prohibited from explicitly endorsing or even offering the sale of cannabis itself, according to a separate investigation. There are some CBD-based products that are not included in this rule, though. In addition, there will be limitations based on region and age to control who sees cannabis-related advertisements. One of the most recent modifications to Twitter's rules has been the company's acquisition by Tesla CEO and multibillionaire Elon Musk.
Twitter made a suggestion in the formal release that cannabis businesses may use their platform to connect with a larger audience. It further stated that cannabis-related talks are "more prevalent than those centered on subjects like dogs, cooking, golf, and other food and beverage categories."
