Social media giant Twitter has announced that they will kill verified checkmarks.
Twitter has been going under so many changes after Elon Musk took over the platform. First Twitter Blue became a paid one which resulted in many conflicts. Things are still changing on the platform. Company has announced they will unplug this feature. Unless they begin paying for it, previously verified Twitter accounts will soon lose their checkmarks.

The date is also interesting, sine it it the Fools' day. It is unclear whether the website intends to remove all of their verified checkmarks at once or in batches.
Twitter's announcement regarding legacy verified users occurred at the same time that worldwide Blue subscriptions became available. This rollout makes the service accessible to the majority of people, whereas it was previously only available in certain areas. The company has been going under so many changes and the situation still continues.
