Twitter gives green light to bullying
Twitter has changed something on the platform that will cause some controversy. Here are all the details.
We can easily say that Twitter has been going under so many changes and hard times. The platform is basically criticized for every decision they make. Recently another significant policy has been quietly and without explanation updated by Twitter. According to GLAAD, the company appears to have removed a section of its hateful conduct policy that protected transgender individuals from misgendering and deadnaming.
Twitter gives green light to bullying
This decision to roll back LGBTQ safety pulls Twitter even more out of step with TikTok, Pinterest, and Meta, which all maintain similar policies to protect their trans users at a time when anti-transgender rhetoric online is leading to real world discrimination and violence.

In 2018, Twitter initially outlawed targeted deadnaming and misgendering. The policy stated, "We prohibit targeting others with repeated slurs, tropes, or other content with the intention of degrading or reinforcing harmful or negative stereotypes about a protected category." This includes transgender people being misidentified or deadnamed on purpose. That last sentence has now been taken out. The situation creates a tricky area for those who can be bullied. The motive behind Twitter's act remains unknown.
