Elon Musk took over Twitter and things started to change right away. The First thing that changed was Blue subscription rules. Making the subscription a paid one has raised many criticism but Musk did not change his idea. Criticism was not the only problem, but also some security problems occured. New accounts were able to buy Blue tick easily which resulted in problems, but now this will change.

The FAQ section of the social network has been updated to inform new users that they must wait 90 days to subscribe to Blue. Additionally, the business declares that it reserves the right to require waiting periods "at our discretion without notice." Shortly after Twitter stopped allowing new accounts to join Blue, the new policy was implemented. The company tried to use a secondary "official" checkmark for organizations and public figures, but the new owner of Twitter pulled the plug on the system just hours after it went live.

Senator Ed Markey has questioned Elon Musk about how easy it is to create fake accounts with the new verification system. Markey also said that Congress might get involved if Musk doesn't fix Twitter and the other brands he owns.
