Trump does not give up on the lawsuit he opened against Twitter
Although Trump's account has been reactivated on the site, the former US President has not yet used his account.
The lawyer representing former US President Donald Trump in the lawsuit he filed after he was banned from Twitter said that although the company was reintroduced to the platform by the new owner of the company, Elon Musk, Trump would not withdraw the lawsuit. Attorney John Cole told Bloomberg News that Trump will continue to appeal the case's dismissal by a California federal judge unless the company makes a deal to formally resolve the case.

"You can't do things on your own, you have to talk to the other party or wait," Cole said. There's more to it than getting it back at work, so we want to talk to see if we can find anything. The twice impeached former US President filed the lawsuit in July 2021, six months after then-CEO Jack Dorsey announced that Trump's account was permanently suspended on the platform following the January 6 attack on the Capitol. In his lawsuit against the company, Trump made statements suggesting that prominent Democrats should be barred from accessing the platform he previously used during his presidency to announce hiring and layoffs, explain policy decisions, and incite harassment and threats against real or apparent political opponents. He claimed that it was a state action that violated the First Amendment to the Constitution.
