TikTok started mass layoffs, hundres of employees are fired
Twitter has been on the agenda with massive layoffs and now it looks like TikTok joined this as well.
The new year has begun, but for some it has come with sad news as well. After Elon Musk's takeover Twitter had so many layoffs that it was protested by human right defenders and it looks like other apps such as TikTok are joining with the layoffs. Due to economic crisis and global inflation companies started to tighten the belt, as a result massive layoffs have occured.

ByteDance, the Chinese parent organization of video application TikTok, has laid off many workers across numerous divisions toward the finish of 2022 as a feature of an expense cutting measure, the South China Morning Post investigated Tuesday. According to SCMP, which cited sources, the job cuts have been implemented at Douyin, the Chinese equivalent of TikTok with approximately 600 million daily users, as well as the company's gaming and real estate operations. According to the report, only a small portion of ByteDance's workforce was affected by the layoffs.
