Threads broke record 10 in its first 7 hours
Meta's Twitter-like platform Threads has reached 10 million registrations in first 7 hours. Let's take a look.
Twitter has been going down for a while. After Elon Musk took over the platform many things started to go down and Twitter lost many money as well as advertisements. The problems started when Musk did huge layoffs and changed Blue Check to a paid one.
Meta's Threads has broken record
Threads is online right now and people have shown so much interest to it. The timing was so right for Meta to try another Twitter-like platform as Musk basically made things worse. Just like Twitter on Threads texts, images, and videos can be posted for up to five minutes, and users can like, comment, and re-share messages from other users.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, revealed that 10 million people signed up for the platform within the first seven hours of its launch.
According to quick math, between 250 and 350 individuals from over 100 nations register each second. If Threads had launched in the European Union, the number probably would have been higher. Platform needs to go under some situations to start working in EU region too. As for now it is obvious that the platform has been successful and it will continue to gather more users.
