Telegram has gained a lot more popularity since WhatsApp has lost some because of privacy and security features. Now the platform is getting a huge Story update. Company has announced many features that can be useful. Just like TikTok took over internet with their short video format Stories also made a revolution.
Telegram is adding Stories feature
The feature that was first introduced by Snapchat in 2013, adopted to an extent by Meta, integrated into Facebook, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and even Google, is now coming to Telegram.
Telegram founder Pavel Durov made the announcement that Stories will be available on the platform beginning at the beginning of next month. According to Durov, you'll pick who can see your stories and you will have options. You can choose everyone or couple of chosen contacts. Photos and videos taken simultaneously by the front and rear cameras will be supported in stories, as will captions. You can choose whether a Story will end in 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours. Alternately, you can make it so that some are permanently displayed on your profile, each with its own privacy settings. Furthermore, you will soon be able to transfer messages from channels to Stories.
