Shocking change within Twitch! The platform will get a whole new look
Twitch is usually used by players and is one of the most used apps overall and now there is a change within the company.
Emmett Shear, a co-founder of Twitch, is leaving his position as CEO after 16 years. Shear was there when the popular entertainment platform was still known as Justin.tv. The platform will start to receive some changes with the change of CEO. In this context, new features can be added to its structure. We can say that a new era begins for Twitch, since the change of CEO in a company brings innovations with it.

In October 2006 we started working on live video for the internet. That became Twitch. More than 16 years later, I'm now a father and ready to move to my next phase of life. I wrote a blog post, but the short version is: thank you so much to everyone who built this with me.

Former CEO Shear guided the business through every transition and beyond. He is leaving the company because of personal reasons. Former CEO claims that becoming a father inspired him to step down from his leadership position. In a farewell blog, he wrote, "I want to be fully there for my son as he enters this world." I will continue to serve as an advisor at Twitch."
