Recent studies show that if you reduce social media use you can reduce anxiety and depression.

The scientists found that students who reduced their daily use of social media to 30 minutes experienced a significant reduction in anxiety, depression, and loneliness. This development could pave the way for better mental health interventions.
Researchers from Iowa State University further evaluated this link in a two-week experiment with 230 college students. Half of the respondents were asked to limit their social media use to 30 minutes per day, while these received daily, automatic reminders.
Social media is a daily thing in everyone's life yet it also has really negative affects on body and mind. The study, published in the scientific journal Technology, Mind, and Behavior, revealed that this group of participants had significantly lower values for anxiety, depression, loneliness, and fear of missing out at the end of the experiment compared to the control group.
