Political advertisements are back on Twitter
Twitter is up and down with so many features after Elon Musk's take over and also quitting as the CEO.
Twitter, being one of the most used social media apps has had so much ups and downs these days. After Elon Musk's take over many features have gone and come back. Some of the features have been long gone before Musk and now one of them is coming back.
In 2019, political and cause-based ads were banned by Twitter, effectively preventing politicians and PACs from running ads supporting candidates, promoting ballot measures, or soliciting donations. Yet recent reports claim that this policy is now changing. Now, the company is changing that policy and announcing that it will relax those advertising rules on the Twitter Safety account.
Political advertisements are back on Twitter
We believe that cause-based advertising can facilitate public conversation around important topics. Today, we're relaxing our ads policy for cause-based ads in the US. We also plan to expand the political advertising we permit in the coming weeks.

Previously, almost all political ads were outlawed, yet now this is changing. The reason for the change is not quite obvious, but Elon Musk's freedom of speech calls might have had an impact for the chance as well.
