TikTok has been under radar for some time now and it looks like investigations still continue.
Multiple ongoing investigations into TikTok have been confirmed by the president of the European Commission, the executive branch of the European Union. Ever since it was launched TikTok has changed all the rules on social media platforms but it looks like some investigations will start to take place now.

Ursula von der Leyden wrote in a letter that Federal Communications Commissioner Brendan Carr shared, "The data practices of TikTok, including with respect to international data transfers, are the subject of several ongoing proceedings." According to a BuzzFeed News report, von der Leyden was responding to concerns raised by members of the European Parliament regarding the possibility of Chinese public authorities gaining access to TikTok data belonging to EU citizens. The EU has been paying attention to the app's data practices for some time.

Members of the European Parliament have now written the European Commission asking it to address whether EU data has also been accessed from China, stating:
