How TikTok users can easily make money from their videos with new program?
TikTok has launched a new program that simplifies the process for users to easily earn money from their videos.
TikTok is shaking up its Effect Creator Rewards program, aiming to make it more inclusive and equitable for creators. Initially introduced in May with a $6 million fund, this program rewarded creators for crafting filters, effects, and mini-games.
How TikTok users can easily make money from their videos with new program?
The previous entry threshold required creators to have their filters featured in at least 500,000 videos. However, TikTok has now made a significant change, making it much more accessible. Creators are now only required to upload a minimum of five filters, with at least three of them being used in 1,000 videos. This shift is expected to benefit smaller creators who significantly contribute to TikTok's popularity but often miss out on rewards.
Additionally, TikTok is expanding the program to include more countries, adding Brazil, Australia, Canada, Finland, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, UAE, and Vietnam to the list. While the rewards program is becoming more global, a full worldwide rollout is still uncertain.
A notable change to the program is the shift from a flat fee to a variable payment model. TikTok has indicated that payments will depend on various factors, with geographical location being a primary consideration. This change has raised questions about fairness and whether it might exacerbate income disparities between creators in different regions.
A TikTok spokesperson stated that the $6 million fund "may increase as we run the program and gather feedback from creators," suggesting the platform's commitment to refining the compensation model based on creator input. These changes reflect TikTok's commitment to supporting a diverse and global creator community.
