Elon Musk, one of the richest man in the world, bought Twitter last month, one of the most concerned thing was whether the restriction of former President Donald Trump on the Twitter would be lifted.

Later on, Elon Musk conducted a poll on the issue and results seemed to be in favor of former President Donald Trump. 51.8% of the respondents chose that Trump's account should be reinstated. After conclusion of the poll, Musk said: “The People have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei.” Vox Populi, Vox Dei, means "voice of the people, voice of God" in Latin.

On the other hand, speaking at the Republican Jewish Coalition's monthly leadership dinner panel, Trump said, "I see no reason to return." Later on, Trump said he would continue to be on his own social media platform, Truth Social.

After Trump supporters stormed the Congress building on January 6, Trump's accounts on social platforms such as Twitter and Facebook were banned permanently. When asked whether he would lift Trump's ban if he bought the platform before, Musk answered "I will lift the permanent ban", and also said that Twitter is "leftist".
